“Grief and Re-emergence” a Spring Portal Playlist

Sometimes spring can feel more challenging than winter - the way the world insists on beauty when you are still somewhere in the long dark. The light grows again, indifferent to the fact that we might not be ready yet to re-emerge.

While we are living through what some are calling a polycrisis, a knot of simultaneous, overlapping emergencies, many of us are grieving futures we assumed we’d have. And so the arrival of spring can feel less like a relief and more like an accusation. Look how everything is reawakening, the season seems to say. Why aren’t you?

If this is you, we at The Portal have compiled a playlist to honor both, the grief for what we have lost and the re-emergence of the possibilities to build anew. Just like the upcoming Equinox holds equal parts light and dark.

Whatever you are growing toward, in your own time, may this season hold space for it and this playlist of free resources support you.

Grieve
Connect

We hope this small collection serves as a fortifying and soothing balm, because we need learning ecosystems that support connection, care, and collective intelligence. Let it be your place to pause, return to, and remember you’re not alone.
