We require each other in unexpected collaborations and combinations, in hot compost piles.

We become-with each other or not at all.

Composting with Keri Jarvis

Powered by The Portal.

You’re invited to gather with us for the next quarter of this exploration.

Maybe you are feeling…

  • Disconnection
  • The draw of despair
  • Confusion about how to honour your own daily reality within the context of the crises unfolding around us and through us
  • Like you’ve learned just enough to make you realise how little you know

Perhaps you are longing for…

  • People who share your deep concern for the world
  • Places to practice your wholeness & develop your thinking
  • Sites of radical imagination without ridicule
  • Rehearsal spaces for healthy relation

“The spaces Keri creates are like fertile little gardens of ideas, experiences and supportive reflections, developed on rich community soil where empathy abounds. This group work has been incredibly valuable for me, particularly at this moment in time when there is so much to despair about in the world. Having a space to be heard and to hear other people's experiences helped me feel less alone.

Learning new coping mechanisms, ways of thinking, and questions to ask myself in a group of supportive and wise women was a really enriching experience. It's been the highlight of my week.”

How it works

Each month will be guided by a theme, with prompts to consider in advance of our gathering.
All calls will be at 10am on the second and third Friday of the month.

August - Imagination

Playing with possibility, conceiving a world beyond *gestures broadly at everything* this

September - Experimentation

Revealing what’s right there at the edges of our present day lives, if only we could risk reaching for it

October - Endurance

Sustaining our commitment to the collective and honouring ourselves within it, asking how we go on, and on, and on
Expect to experience a gradual disentanglement from ways of being that don’t belong to you and a sense of fortification in who you are becoming.

"I feel embarrassed when I say feminism and people do not think revolution in service of every living thing. I think I will spend my life trying to rectify this.” ~ Lola Olufemi

We are buzzing to layer in an optional slow paced Study Group to each quarter, beginning with Experiments in Imagining Otherwise by Lola Olufemi. This will take place on the first Friday of each month, 10-11.30. I’ve studied this book with six cohorts and each time I discover something new and many things deepen. It’s a beautiful companion to the themes for the quarter. It’s a challenging book that comes alive in sharing our experience, relentlessly directing us back to our own discernment.

“Keri's groups are resourcing, inspiring, hopeful spaces in which I feel deeply accompanied while navigating growth and change.”

Why Composting?

Keri’s relational, developmental approach to coaching is oriented around the perspective that we shape our contexts and our contexts shape us. There’s something too about rot and its role in transformation.

Sally’s vision for The Portal is one where technology mimics nature. Because how we learn shouldn’t be managed or formalised and it is within the compost that new life can form.

We would love for you to join us if you are someone who…

  • Cares deeply about our shared lives now and in the future
  • Is interested in collaborative conjuring of (pockets of) new worlds

We ask that you commit to Composting on a quarterly basis so that you can settle into the culture of the sessions and deepen into relation with fellow humans. We hope you will stay even longer.

Payments are taken on a monthly basis. If you don't wish to continue into the next quarter, please let us know during the last month of your commitment so that we can cancel your payment subscription.
