After some great conversations with our community and some testing and tweaking our side, we're very excited to launch our Membership Offer! 

With up to three gatherings a month, a private community space and a growing library of resources for them to access whenever they need. 

We'll create your space for you right here, alongside others, making you accessible to anyone visiting and in need of your work.

Every person that becomes part of The Portal Collective becomes a much loved and supported piece of the vision where we are getting away from the mercy of algorithms and suppressed political content and towards a world we all want to imagine is possible.
1. Sign up now for a £399 one off set up fee and you'll be directed to our booking system to pick a date your membership will be created - you'll need to make sure you're around that day too :)
2. We'll introduce you to your support team via a Trello board. This is who will be scheduling your gatherings and uploading your content to your library every month and where you can raise any issues you may be having (or simply share helpful feedback with us).
3. On that Trello board will be guidance and space to provide the copy for your membership offer so you can be pondering that from now until we begin.
4. On your chosen New World Building Day we'll set up your space, integrate with your Zoom account and email marketing platform, connect with your Stripe account and set up three months' worth of gatherings, adding any resources you're ready to share.
5. Please note we ask you have your own sales page (see examples provided below). On this page you simply need to add a button (or a few!) that say 'Sign up here' and this will send users to your sign up page on The Portal Collective. (This is where they subscribe and pay before accessing your membership.)
6. We'll ask you to sign it off before it goes live and you can start signing up your members.

Your hosting fee will begin.
7. Add your monthly resources to Trello and our wonderful support team will be right with you!
8. Enjoy being part of something very different.

  • How will it look?

    All of the membership pages have the same layout and we populate them with your images, words and resources. You can take a look at Peta's sign up page here.

  • Some extra bits

    • Please note you will need a Zoom account for the live gatherings and we ask you to handle this subscription externally to The Portal Collective platform. 

    • As part of the set up process we connect with your Stripe account and transfer you whatever you make each month. While we do not take a processing fee, Stripe does. 

    • We send a Welcome email when new users join your membership, welcoming them and confirming their purchase. At the same time we push their names and emails to your email marketing platform so you can say hi and continue nurturing them from there. This includes any call reminders (this is a feature we are working on and hope to have rolled out before 2025). 

FAQs

I don't get it, why is there a Trello board?

While we continue raising money for the development of the next stage of the build, there is an extra step where we deal with the content for you. The more we can prove the market gap, the more likely we are to receive funding to build the tool so you can do it yourself. 

I want in but I'm not ready for September - what can I do?

Exciting! This offer feeds in to some very important fundraising and development work required at this time and initial conversations suggest it's going to be very popular. For this reason, we ask you still sign up and pay for the set up fee even if you're not ready for September but we won't charge you the hosting fee until you go live with your membership. 

I'm not sure this offer is right for me - can we have a call?

At the moment we have really limited capacity to have calls which is why we have such a detailed FAQs section and examples available. If after reviewing the examples above, reading all the answers to these questions and looking at our other offers you're still unsure then we would love to chat. Please book a call here and give as much information as to why you're unsure. 

I only want one gathering a month - can I have a reduced set up and hosting fee?

To sort pricing tiers for different needs is not something that is accessible to us at this moment and we have found from our work so far that three gatherings a month is the average of what people are after. The effort of the set up is the same if you have 1 or if you have 3 gatherings a month while the hosting fee is already a reduced cost and contributes towards our support team and our soaring software and platform costs. 

I want more than 3 gatherings a month - is this ok?

Do you have payment plans? 

Contact us and we can happily offer a two part part payment plan for the initial set up fee. As we grow, we aim to continuously improve on making our offers more accessible. Please contact hello@jointheportal.com for any feedback on pricing or requests for payment plans. Solidarity my friend. 

Is there a limit to the amount of resources I can add per month?

Gosh, probably. We trust you'll be able to evaluate what is reasonable for £45 a month and we'll raise if we feel things are becoming unfair. As a guide a resource a week, including gatherings, feels reasonable but it's on a case by case basis. 

Can it be in my branding? 

We ask you share your brand photos with us which we use throughout your space along with any specific copy you want added to the sections provided. At this moment in time we cannot make changes to the colours or fonts for your space as this would have a costly knock on for the rest of the site. We see this as a collective space where you share your offerings such as Insight Timer or Stack World. If having it in your branding is really important to you then consider donating for us to fund the next stage of development - more info in the answer below!

This sounds brilliant but not for me. Is there any other way I can support The Portal's vision?

Thank you and absolutely 🙂 We're trying to raise £50,000 to fund the next stage of development and are asking for people to donate £25 each before sharing the campaign and how to resource new worlds with others. You can read more and donate here.

I already have my membership elsewhere with active members - can I move this over to The Portal Collective? 

This is very much assessed on a case by case basis and it may cost more. Please book a call with us here and give as much information as possible of what your current offering is, how many people are using it and where it's currently being hosted.
